First showcase of the Colorado M-series in Kyushu, Japan, highlights new application opportunities with specialty media

The Kyushu Sign & Design Display Show, held from June 5–6, marked a step in expanding UVgel in Japan, with the Colorado M-series showcased at the event for the first time.
A key element was the collaboration with Colorado sales partner NIP Corporation. By linking both booths, visitors could experience live printing while exploring applications produced on specialty media, demonstrating the combined value of technology and media innovation.
A wide range of materials illustrated the versatility of UVgel in more detail. Applications on gold media showed how decorative surfaces can be printed without compromising their appearance, as the thin ink layer preserves the original texture. Similarly, printing on stone‑textured substrates maintained the natural look and feel of the material.
Hologram media highlighted the strength of UVgel in combination with white ink, enabling clear and visible graphics even on complex, reflective surfaces. Mirror media further demonstrated the flexibility of the Colorado platform, where the separate drive mechanisms for the print head and UV lamps allow printing on more challenging substrates that typically require careful handling.
Together, these examples showed how UVgel supports high-quality output across diverse media, enabling print providers to expand their application range in the sign and display market.
