How MatchWornShirt and its sister company, Frame the Game, use the Canon Arizona 2360 GTF to transform match-worn jerseys into custom-framed keepsakes.

Stijn Wolff, responsible for all operational processes at auction house MatchWornShirt and its in-house framing workshop Frame the Game, showcases two framed shirts with personalized mount boards alongside the Canon Arizona.
A soccer jersey worn during a memorable match can be worth far more than its material value. For fans, it represents a moment in sports history. MatchWornShirt has built its business around that connection, auctioning authentic, match-worn and signed jerseys on behalf of more than 300 soccer clubs worldwide. Buyers can also choose to have their purchase professionally framed by its sister company, Frame the Game.
From the field to the frame
Founded in 2015 by brothers Bob and Tijmen Zonderwijk, MatchWornShirt has grown into an international fundraising business for sports clubs and charities. Its operations rely on a carefully managed process to verify each jersey’s authenticity, with digital certificates providing buyers with additional information about the item and its history.
For those who want to display their purchase, Frame the Game offers several framing options. Customers can choose a classic frame or opt for a premium design featuring personalized graphics, photographs and inscriptions. A jersey can, for example, be displayed alongside an image of the player wearing it during the match or a personal photograph capturing a special moment for the fan.
Personalization with the Arizona
At the heart of the framing operation is the Canon Arizona 2360 GTF flatbed printer. It allows Frame the Game to print directly onto the mat board, making it possible to create individual designs without the additional steps involved in its previous process.
Previously, graphics produced on a roll-to-roll printer had to be laminated onto the mat board, a labor-intensive process that also consumed additional materials. Direct printing with the Arizona has helped the company reduce both production time and material use while maintaining the photographic quality required for premium framed memorabilia.
The printer is equipped with dual CMYK and white ink, supporting a range of personalized designs and applications. Around a third of Frame the Game’s framing orders come through MatchWornShirt, but the company also serves external customers, including businesses and soccer clubs looking to offer framed jerseys to sponsors or fans.

Quality and turnaround go hand in hand
Speed matters when customers are buying unique items they want to display. Frame the Game aims to complete framing orders within three days, with the Arizona helping the team maintain an efficient production process. Reliability is equally important, supporting consistent quality and dependable delivery.
By combining direct-to-board printing with flexible personalization, Frame the Game can offer more than a standard frame. Each piece can reflect the story behind the jersey, turning an already special item into a personalized keepsake.
