From Outsourcing to In-House printing
How the Colorado M-series with UVgel empowered FaberExposize’s printing operations: 3- and 5-layer printing, white printing, and printing on magnetic media.
Moving from Latex to UVgel
FaberExposize is a well-known printing company that has been providing high-quality printing services for many years. They have established themselves as a reliable and innovative company that always keeps up with the latest technological advancements in the printing industry. Recently, they worked together with Canon as beta customer for the new Colorado M-series, and have been eager to share their experiences with the machine.
Richard Meijer, the production manager in Amsterdam, oversees the operations in one of their three production locations. In September of 2022, FaberExposize moved into white printing using a latex printer. However, they were not completely satisfied with the results, which prompted them to try out the new Colorado M-series.

Enabling in-house production of complex printing jobs
According to Richard, the Colorado M-series has exceeded their expectations in terms of meeting their customers’ demands for 3- and 5-layer printing, white printing, and printing on magnetic media. In the past, FaberExposize had to outsource those jobs to their other locations, but now they can produce them in-house with ease. The printer’s high print speed, scratch-resistance, and ink adherence to the media are some of the features that impressed Richard the most. Additionally, the FLXfinish+ function enables printing matte and gloss in one pass, allowing for a wide range of applications.
Colorado M-series give a competitive edge
One of the areas where the Colorado M-series has been particularly useful for FaberExposize is in printing on magnetic media, which is often used in retail for interchangeable price tags. The printer’s ability to handle 0.3mm and 0.5mm magnetic media is a rare feature that gives them a competitive edge. Moreover, the printer’s reliability is a great advantage, as Richard can turn it on at night with a full roll and trust that it will be printed in the morning, especially handy for white printing, which is generally slower than CMYK.
Richard also appreciated the PRISMAguide XL software, which he was able to master in just one day. This has made the preparation of 3- and 5-layer printing much smoother.
