Smile Kyoshin Proprint (SKP) is a Canon  LFG customer in Bangkok Thailand, serving the packaging market with print solutions since 1995. It is a high-volume customer with multiple technologies in house, both analogue and digital and employs over 1,300 people.

They produce cardboard packaging for our desktop and consumer products such as desktop printers. The mass-produced volumes are still done with analogue equipment: offset and flexo. But as the market is requiring more and more short runs or special editions, those jobs are increasingly done with digital equipment.

Apart from serving as a print provider for the packaging market, they have also started to add services and applications that are complimentary to their original business: They now also provide all the print work and displays  for our Canon showroom retail locations, which makes Canon not only a supplier, but also a customer of SKP.

With the recent acquisition of the Colorado 1650 they saw possibilities for diversifying their offering with short-run and custom labels. Colorado 1650 perfectly fits into their application strategy: Its innovative matte technology without the need for matte lamination, the robustness of ink, production speed and low cost of print opens up exciting possibilities in customized large format product labels.

SKP sees the digital part of the business increase  year after year and is looking to convert even more volume from analogue to digital in the future as they discover more new applications for it.
