Laser Cut Studio

High quality print products for all media

Wide range of products and endless possibilities

Laser Cut Studio, a creative printing company based in Pasila, Helsinki, established in 2012, currently employs four people and makes custom printing applications for a wide range of materials from plastic to wood and metal. The steady increase in order volumes over the years has also increased the need for more efficient printing technologies. After careful research and comparison of different vendor technologies, Laser Cut Studio decided to purchase an Arizona flatbed printer and a Zünd flatbed cutter.

The acquisition of production equipment opened up many new opportunities for expanding the product range. According to Adam Rowe, owner of Laser Cut Studio, the company’s most popular products at the moment are jewelry, art prints, interior decoration and fair stands. With Canon-supplied devices, only the sky has been the limit when printing on a variety of media.

“Because of my background in design, I often see products as creative end results, not just through the production process. That’s why we wanted to have durable devices that can print on almost any media and produce products of all sizes, even a little more special, ”says Adam. “With the help of new technologies, we immediately started printing larger jobs and larger items much faster. The devices also communicate with each other, making it easier to produce print jobs.”

More streamlined processes bring efficiency to production

Laser Cut Studio produces prints for businesses of all sizes and for retail customers. Order sizes may vary from individual products to tens of thousands of batches. “Our clients include jewelry designers, PR agencies, advertising agencies and art galleries. Because of the size of the batches we produce, we needed not only good hardware but also easy-to-use software to help control the processes.”

New software and hardware have made it easier to streamline the production process, reducing production times and reducing costs. The technologies we use have optimized our process to keep quality high and prices low. Laser Cut Studio’s products have not only high quality but also exceptionally fast delivery times.

“Because our devices run smoothly around the clock, we have been able to optimize our time. However, should something go wrong, the service team would arrive quickly and production could be restarted without major interruptions. Fortunately, we chose equipment of such high quality that there were hardly any service interruptions.”

Environmental friendliness matters

The most important value of Laser Cut Studio is its environmental friendliness, and this is particularly evident in the company’s focus on high-quality, sustainably produced domestic materials. The company specializes in environmentally friendly printing on birch plywood, and according to Adam Rowe, technologies are particularly well suited to producing wood prints.

The durability and longevity of the technologies ensure that the equipment or its components do not need to be replaced frequently. Adam Rowe believes that the trend towards environmental friendliness will become increasingly widespread in the printing industry, for example in the choice of inks and media.

“We are still really pleased with the choice for Canon,” Adam says. “We are constantly comparing new technologies to increase our production capacity. We also intend to continue on the environmentally sustainable path we have chosen in the future.”
