Some of the effects that can be produced are as follows:
- Layered 3-dimensional images: simulated flat planes from a single original image
- True 3-dimensional images: true depth images created from specially photographed or computer rendered scenes
- Flip images: multiple independent images that change when the print is viewed at different angles
- Morph images: images that slowly change from one form to another, with distinct intermediate steps, as the print is viewed from different angles
- Zoom images: an object changes size as the print is viewed from different angles
- Video or motion images: objects move, or a series of video frames are played back as the print is viewed from different angles
