Lenticular Printing

A matter of perspective!

Lenticular imaging is an exciting medium for creating dynamic images that catch peoples attention, and allow for effects that are not possible in other printing methods. It is a method of using special sheets of lens material to create special effects on a printed page. This combination of lens and print allow the display of these effects.

Some of the effects that can be produced are as follows:

  • Layered 3-dimensional images: simulated flat planes from a single original image
  • True 3-dimensional images: true depth images created from specially photographed or computer rendered scenes
  • Flip images: multiple independent images that change when the print is viewed at different angles
  • Morph images: images that slowly change from one form to another, with distinct intermediate steps, as the print is viewed from different angles
  • Zoom images: an object changes size as the print is viewed from different angles
  • Video or motion images: objects move, or a series of video frames are played back as the print is viewed from different angles
